On 8th April 2024 a total eclipse was visible over North America and several members of the Society traveled to enjoy the spectacle.
In Mexico there were blue skies in the days either side of the eclipse but Katherine and Bob were really lucky as clouds parted just a few minutes before totality, allowing a spectacular viewing through out the 4+ minutes.
The image was taken with just a simple point-and-shoot camera.

It was much the same story for Danny and his wife who were in Niagara Falls, where the cloud never completely cleared but nevertheless they were able to enjoy totality.

While these are not the best quality images, eclipses have be enjoyed and are best seen by eye rather than through the lens of a camera!
